The Challenge
The Challenge We Solve
Deploying employees across borders involves regulatory exposure, operational complexity, and personal disruption that most internal HR teams are not resourced to manage directly. Matrix exists to absorb that complexity.
Regulatory exposure
Work permit timelines and compliance obligations vary by jurisdiction – Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia each apply different rules, with no single team tracking them all.
Operational complexity
Housing markets and customs regulations differ corridor to corridor, and shift with local market conditions and trade agreements.
Personal disruption
The employee needs to start work on a set date, and their family needs to feel confident the transition is under control.
Services
Corporate Mobility Services
Matrix manages corporate mobility as a single coordinated operation – not a collection of subcontracted services.
Immigration Compliance & Work Permit Processing
Eligibility assessment, document preparation, application submission, authority liaison, and permit issuance tracking – across all permit categories in Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia, plus third-country filings through Matrix’s legal partner network.
International Moving
Door-to-door international moves under FIDI-FAIM quality standards – origin survey, professional packing, customs documentation, transit insurance, and destination delivery for household moves, office relocations, and project cargo.
Corporate Relocation & Destination Services
Home search and lease negotiation, school research, banking setup, cultural orientation, and settling-in support – structured around the assignee profile, family composition, and company policy.
Specialised Logistics
For clients with high-value assets, art collections, or sensitive equipment – museum-quality handling, climate-controlled transport, and full chain-of-custody documentation.
Coverage
Geographic Coverage
Matrix’s own operations cover SouthEast Europe’s four primary mobility corridors. Beyond these markets, Matrix manages relocations and international moves between any two countries worldwide through its global supply chain.
A multinational employer with assignees moving from Frankfurt to Athens, São Paulo to Sofia, and Singapore to Belgrade can manage all three assignments through a single relationship with Matrix – with consistent quality standards, unified reporting, and one operational point of contact.
Own Operations
Four owned offices operating Matrix’s core mobility corridors:
- Athens, Greece
- Sofia, Bulgaria
- Belgrade, Serbia
- Zagreb, Croatia
Partner Network
The partner network covers over 100 countries, with every supplier vetted and operating under Matrix coordination protocols.
Compliance
Quality & Compliance
FIDI-FAIM certified and an IAM Trusted Moving Company – audited quality standards, not marketing claims.
Certified Standards
FIDI-FAIM certified and an IAM Trusted Moving Company – the highest internationally audited quality standards in the mobility industry. Matrix also holds the EuRA Full Membership for relocation services.
Independently Verified
For corporate procurement teams evaluating mobility partners, these certifications provide independently verified evidence of operational reliability, financial stability, and service quality. They are not marketing assets – they are audit outcomes.
Built-In Documentation
Matrix maintains full documentation for every engagement, structured for corporate compliance review, internal audit, and regulatory reporting. Cost transparency, timeline tracking, and exception reporting are built in – not available upon request.
Process
How We Work with Corporate Clients
Most corporate mobility is managed through layered vendor chains – an RMC engages a DSP, the DSP engages a moving company, the moving company engages a customs agent. Matrix compresses this chain by operating across service lines with its own teams in its own markets, for fewer handoff errors and faster resolution of exceptions.
1
Initial Scoping
Matrix assesses the mobility requirement in detail – number of assignees, corridors involved, service scope, policy framework and timeline. There is no standard package.
2
Single Coordinator Model
A dedicated Matrix coordinator oversees all service lines – immigration, relocation and moving – as the single point of contact for both employer and assignee.
3
Policy Alignment
Matrix aligns delivery with the client’s existing mobility policy, and provides practical recommendations where a jurisdiction needs it updated.
4
Reporting & Visibility
Structured reporting on case status, milestone completion, cost tracking and exception flags – format and frequency agreed during scoping.
5
Continuous Improvement
At the end of each assignment cycle, Matrix reviews service delivery, timeline adherence, cost accuracy and assignee satisfaction.
