About Matrix Global Mobility

Since 1990

Global Coverage. One accountable partner. No loose ends.

The Group

One group. Every moving part.

Established in 1990, Matrix operates directly across Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Croatia, serving four additional SouthEast European jurisdictions and more than 100 countries through a carefully vetted global partner network.

Our clients include governments, diplomatic missions, multinational corporations, growing businesses and private clients whose assignments demand precision, discretion and control.

Matrix Global Mobility operates through locally established companies in Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Croatia, supported by Matrix Express, the group’s specialist transport and logistics division. Each company provides the legal, regulatory and operational capability required in its market. All are governed by common group standards, central oversight and a unified client-management framework. The result is local execution without regional fragmentation: one coordinated programme, one service standard and one clear line of accountability.

Three disciplines. One platform.

Matrix Global Mobility provides the three essential disciplines of global talent mobility from one integrated regional platform.

In-house immigration consultants and locally qualified immigration lawyers manage work permits, residence permits, posted-worker notifications, regulatory filings and related compliance requirements across our core jurisdictions.

Every case is handled within the country concerned, by professionals who understand the legislation, the authorities and the practical realities behind the procedure.

Matrix destination-service teams support employees and families through every stage of arrival and settlement.

Services include orientation programmes, temporary accommodation, home searches, lease negotiation, school selection, neighbourhood guidance, local registration, cost-of-living advice and ongoing settling-in support.

Directly employed packing crews, controlled warehousing and a specialised European fleet operated through Matrix Express provide the physical infrastructure behind each move.

Capabilities include household-goods transport, customs clearance, transit management, office relocation, fine-art and heritage logistics, defence-related assignments and the movement of specialised cargo.

One programme. One line of responsibility.

A corporate deployment to Greece, for example, may require immigration processing for the employee, destination support for the family and international transport of their household goods.

Matrix coordinates all three.

  • One point of contact.
  • One programme timetable.
  • One agreed quality standard.
  • One consolidated commercial framework.
  • One provider accountable for the outcome.

Regional Coverage

Four strongholds.

Our regional model is built around four directly operated country organisations. These are not representative offices or sales outposts. They are staffed operational centres with local expertise, management oversight and access to Matrix-controlled resources.

Sofia and Varna

Bulgaria

Bulgaria is the group’s longest-established operation and the centre of Matrix leadership, administration and regional coordination.

From Sofia and Varna, Matrix serves the country’s corporate, technology, diplomatic and private-client communities with integrated immigration, destination and moving services.

Matrix is the only IAM Trusted Moving Company in Bulgaria.

Athens, Thessaloniki and Chania

Greece

Greece is a major corporate, diplomatic and expatriate market, with complex requirements across immigration, customs, island access and domestic distribution.

Matrix Greece provides direct operational coverage from Athens and Thessaloniki. The Athens operation was recognised as a high-performing office during the EY-administered FIDI-FAIM certification audit.

Belgrade and Novi Sad

Serbia

Matrix Serbia supports corporate, diplomatic and private mobility throughout Serbia and acts as the group’s operating base for Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Belgrade operation was recognised as a high-performing office during the EY-administered FIDI-FAIM certification audit.

Matrix is the only FIDI-FAIM-certified mover in Serbia.

Zagreb and Split

Croatia

Matrix Croatia serves corporate, government and private clients from Zagreb and Split, providing direct access to one of SouthEast Europe’s most strategically positioned EU markets.

Croatia’s membership of the European Union, Schengen Area and Eurozone has reinforced its role as a commercial and logistical gateway to the Adriatic region.

Matrix is both the only FIDI-FAIM-certified mover and the only IAM Trusted Moving Company in Croatia.

Eight jurisdictions – additional regional markets

Four neighbouring jurisdictions are managed from established Matrix operating bases:

  • Albania and North Macedonia are served from Sofia.
  • Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are served from Belgrade.

Operational resources, packing materials, specialist personnel and equipment are deployed from the relevant core country according to the requirements of each assignment.

More than 100 countries

Beyond these eight jurisdictions, Matrix serves clients in more than 100 countries through a vetted international partner network. Partners are assessed against the same principles of quality, compliance, financial reliability and sustainability that govern our own operations.

Accreditation

Six credentials. One unusually high standard.

Accreditation is not decoration. It is independent evidence that an organisation has opened its procedures, financial standing, service controls and operational competence to external scrutiny.

Matrix Global Mobility combines six internationally recognised certifications, trusted-company designations and professional memberships across the relocation and moving disciplines.

No other operator in SouthEast Europe holds this complete six-part portfolio.

EuRA – European Relocation Association logo

EuRA Full Member

The European Relocation Association represents professional standards within the destination-services and relocation sector.

Full membership supports the quality, competence and ethical standards behind Matrix destination-service operations.

FIDI-FAIM logo

FIDI-FAIM Certified

Matrix achieved group-wide FIDI-FAIM certification on 5 October 2025, covering all relevant offices.

FIDI-FAIM is widely regarded as the leading independently audited quality standard in international moving. Its assessment framework examines operational performance, financial stability, staff competence, process control and client protection.

The Athens and Belgrade operations were recognised as high-performing offices during the certification audit. Matrix is the only FIDI-FAIM-certified moving company in both Croatia and Serbia.

IMA – International Mobility Alliance logo

IMA Full Member

Matrix is a full member of the International Mobility Alliance, a professional international network connecting independently operated moving and mobility companies.

Membership supports structured cooperation, operational continuity and access to trusted international counterparties.

IAM Trusted Moving Company logo

IAM Trusted Moving Company

Matrix achieved IAM Trusted Moving Company status at group level in late 2024.

The International Association of Movers programme requires participating companies to demonstrate verified professional standards, transparent operating practices and defined customer-protection controls.

British Association of Removers (BAR) International Associate logo

BAR International Associate

Matrix has maintained international associate membership of the British Association of Removers for approximately two decades.

BAR is one of the moving industry’s longest-established professional bodies. International associate status demonstrates sustained alignment with recognised professional and consumer-protection principles within the British and international removals markets.

FEDEMAC European Movers logo

FEDEMAC Trusted Company

Matrix holds Trusted Company status within FEDEMAC, the Federation of European Movers Associations.

The designation supports professional credibility, operating transparency and trusted cooperation across the European moving sector.

Direct Delivery

We do not outsource accountability.

Many companies present themselves as integrated mobility providers while assembling each assignment through layers of brokers, subcontractors and unrelated local agents.

Matrix operates differently.

Directly employed teams

Across our four core countries, immigration specialists, relocation consultants, move coordinators, packing teams and operations managers are employed directly by Matrix. They work from Matrix offices, follow Matrix procedures and report through Matrix management.

A work permit in Belgrade

When a corporate client requests an update on a work-permit application in Belgrade, the response comes from the team managing the filing.

A clearance in Athens

When an embassy requires confirmation that a shipment has cleared customs in Athens, the answer comes from the coordinator responsible for the consignment.

Our Standard

The standard behind the name

Six operating disciplines that decide how every Matrix assignment is run.

Precision

Global mobility leaves little room for approximation.

Applications, inventories, customs declarations, lease documents and transport instructions are prepared through controlled procedures, documented checks and trained professional judgement.

Discretion

Confidentiality is an operating discipline, not a paragraph in a policy.

Client information, partner relationships and assignment details are managed on a need-to-know basis. Communications are controlled so that one service partner is not unnecessarily exposed to another, and sensitive information remains within the appropriate operational chain.

Accountability

Every assignment has a defined owner.

Responsibilities, escalation routes, deadlines and hand-offs are recorded and visible. Clients know who is responsible, what has been completed and what must happen next.

Candour

We do not improve an uncomfortable answer by making it less accurate.

Where a procedure is unavailable, a deadline is unrealistic or a proposed course of action creates compliance risk, Matrix says so. Where a control is still being developed, we distinguish the roadmap from the operational reality.

Multilingual fluency

More than 12 languages are spoken within the group at native or professional level.

This allows our teams to interpret regulatory terminology in its original language, communicate directly with local authorities and explain complex requirements to clients without unnecessary intermediaries.

Digital by default

Case communications, immigration workflows, pre-move surveys and inventories are managed through digital tools and structured case-management systems.

Physical documents are produced where legislation, authorities or operational conditions require them – not by habit.

Who We Serve

For clients who cannot afford ambiguity

Five client groups whose assignments are judged on compliance, discretion and delivery – not on price alone.

Diplomatic household moves, government-agency logistics, official relocations and assignments requiring controlled communications, documentation and protocol awareness.

Regional workforce deployments, posted-worker compliance, immigration programmes, destination services and international moving under one coordinated operating structure.

Practical support for businesses entering or expanding across SouthEast Europe, including immigration compliance, local establishment guidance and employee relocation.

Premium relocation, residence-permit support, fine-art and heritage transport, specialised cargo and assignments requiring exceptional discretion.

Specialised relocation and logistics for defence-related, NATO-associated and multinational assignments, delivered in accordance with the personnel, security, documentation and authorisation requirements of the relevant contract.

One region. One chain of responsibility.

Mobility is not a collection of separate services. It is one connected sequence of decisions, documents, people and possessions – and a delay in one part affects every part that follows.
